Fulham closed in on a triple swoop on Thursday night after agreeing deals for striker Kostas Mitroglou and Manchester United pair Larnell Cole and Ryan Tunnicliffe, Goal can reveal.
Mitroglou undertook a medical at Fulham’s Motspur Park headquarters on Thursday after the Cottagers agreed a permanent transfer with Olympiakos.
FULHAM LATEST
Goal understands that Fulham have also agreed permanent deals with United for Cole and Tunnicliffe, and the youngsters are booked in for medicals at the club on Friday morning.
The triple swoop will bolster Rene Meulensteen’s squad as the Londoners attempt to stave off relegation in the second half of the season.
Fulham are also closing in on a swap deal with Tottenham that would involve Lewis Holtby joining on loan until the end of the season and Dimitar Berbatov returning to White Hart Lane for a fee of around £1.5 million.
The deal for Mitroglou will be regarded as a statement of intent given the pedigree of the 25-year-old, who has scored 23 goals in 25 matches for club and country this season.
Fulham will also pay fees for midfield pair Cole and Tunnicliffe, who are deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
Tunnicliffe, 21, who has made two appearances for United, has just completed a successful six-month loan spell at Ipswich Town.
Cole, 20, an England Under-20 international, has made one substitute appearance for United, in the Capital One Cup.
