His commitments as a football ambassador and potential Miami franchise owner have seen David Beckham traverse the globe as he endeavours to win over an uncertain Floridian public while promoting the game he loves in the Far East.
On Saturday, the former England captain’s travels took him to Singapore, where he greeted young fans at the Marina Bay Sands hotel during a football clinic with local athletes from SportsCare Singapore, Special Olympics and the Asean Para Games.
Beckham, 39, had flown east having been invited via the MBS Sands for Singapore corporate social responsibility programme, and he was on hand to gift them with a signed pair of his old Adidas Predator football boots.
