According to an interview with TOC, Arun left the area when the scene was getting rowdy and was on his way to Rowell Road to have dinner where he was picked up later that evening  together with ten others by police officers.

“It is a total injustice done to me,” he told the media. “I deserve justice and dignity and I have to be treated just like any other tourists who come to Singapore.”

Arun was the first of the twenty-eight to be charged. He is now out on bail which is set at $20,000.

His case will be heard again on 30 December.
