Jeju grows as incentive tour destination

Between May and June 2015, 16 thousand Chinese incentive tourists will come to Jeju on cruises. In May, Wan May China incen-tive tourists are set to disembark while in July, Vietnam Amway incentive tourists will visit.

Competition between incentive tour destinations is extremely high and Jeju is busy building both its brand and infras-tructure. The island is boasted as being perfect for themed parties, team building events and various incentive tour products. Jeju’s reputation is built upon its UNESCO triple crown and New 7 Wonders title.

 

Jeju promoted to Asian market

Jeju Convention and Visitors Bureau (Board President Yang Young-guen) visited the Singapore Road Show in Singapore on Dec. 4 and the Kuala Lumpur Road Show in Malaysia on Dec. 6 to promote Jeju in both markets.

According to the Korea National Tourism Organization, nationals of Singapore and Malaysia are among the top seven to visit Korea. In 2011, 4,505 Singaporeans and 14,975 Malaysians came to Korea through MICE incentive tours.

By promoting Jeju to both countries as among the best Northeast Asian resort cities for holding MICE conventions, Board President Yang says a big contribution can be made to Jeju, helping it become a leading MICE city.
