This Map Shows the Best and Worst Countries to be an Expat’ published on November 5 that China and Thailand topped the list, followed by Switzerland, the Cayman Islands, Bahrain and Singapore. It’s thought to be because companies in these nations pay expat workers an average of 15% more, which alongside lower living costs leaves them with much better spending power. The data, which didn’t take into consideration guest workers, also revealed that Western Europe ranked well for child rearing, thanks to a high quality of education.
