Changi Airport awards speciality retail and pharmacy concessions

SINGAPORE. New outlets from Tumi, operated by Valiram Group’s Luxury Ventures Singapore, and local tea retailer TWG Tea Company will open at Singapore Changi Airport next year after two highly competitive tenders.

In Terminal 3, the Tumi concession (covering 62sq m in Departures North) and one of the TWG Tea outlets (79sq m in Departures South) will operate for three years from 9 May 2014 and 9 November 2014 respectively.


Those concessions were vied for by 33 proponents, including multiple entries from Jay Gee Enterprises (Dockers, TM Lewin, Aigner and Liu.Jo), King Power International (Paul Shark, Furla and Kipling) and Nuance-Watson Singapore (Samsonite, Victoria’s Secret, MCM and Lacoste). Other participants included Hotel Shilla (MCM) and Lagardére Services (Coach).


In Terminal 1 TWG Tea Company will operate a 76sq m in Departures West for three years from 11 April 2014. 14 companies competed for the concession.


Changi has also awarded Watson’s Personal Care Stores two outlets in T3: 171sq m in Departures North and 160sq m in Departures South. The contracts run for three years from 1 October 2014 and 9 January 2014 respectively, each with a two-year extension option.
