After 45 years SIA continues to fascinate

General Manager, Sri Lanka, Singapore Airlines, (SIA), Aldrin Arumugam, said at the press conference convened by SIA on Tuesday ( 19), that re-branding Singapore Airlines with Singapore Tourism was an unmistakable adjunct to the already established Brand, known world wide.

The fun of flying with SIA is now enhanced because of its fleet improvement strategy and attendant in – flight comfort. SIA is now in its 43rd year of active service and its sustained improvement benefits travellers throughout the world.

Regular Improvement to its fleet continues to ensure passenger convenience and personal comfort. The latest fleet addition is the Air Bus A 330. Additionally he said the baggage allowance has been increased by 10 kilos on all flights.

Area Director , South Asia, SIA Tourism, G.B.Srithar, said 80,000 Sri Lankans travel to Singapore each year, and visitor numbers were purportedly increasing. SIA, and Singapore Tourism two entities rather than work independently identified their areas of confluence. Their united efforts would bring in more visitors to Singapore.

SIA, now provides quality tourism services and complementary tourism tools . Visitor influx to Singapore from Sri Lanka showing increases were enjoying special discounts on hotel stays and additional land travel services.

Travel add- ons apart, of note was the five day Singapore land travel opportunities. What this meant was the five day inland travel benefits that was not charged as extras, but included in the air flight fee. He said nowhere in the South East Asia region would you get a package as generous as that described.
