More than half of employees in Singapore planning to leave jobs: Survey

More than one in two employees in Singapore are planning to leave their jobs within the next two years because of unsatisfactory compensation.

This is according a Randstad Award 2013 survey of 4,500 employees which was conducted online last December.

The upside for employers however is that the survey found that about a third will stay with a company if it offers long-term job security and a competitive salary and benefits.

The results reflect rising confidence among employees about the country’s economic strength said a statement by Randstand on Thursday. Employees feel that they have helped their companies though some tough years and with the outlook more positive, employees want their efforts to be recognised or they will leave, it noted.
