Israel: Over 25,000 visitors at Fresh Agro Mashov

The “Fresh Agro Mashov” 2013 exhibition at the Exhibition Grounds in Tel Aviv hosted over 25,000 visitors, including dozens of delegations of organizations, investors and key players in agriculture from around the world.


Among the visitors were the following people: Mr. Daniel Constantine, the Romanian Minister of Agriculture and Mr. Sorin Chelmu, the Deputy Secretary General of the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture, a Mexican delegation headed by Mr Eliseo Salinas González, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Ms. Tan Poh Hang, the Executive Director of the Singapore Ministry of Agriculture together with senior members of the Singapore Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. Berth Christian, the president of the Gros Corbas district wholesale market in the south of France, Mr. Gabi Ben Simon, owner of the Swiss company (Biscotte) that imports and markets fresh produce to supermarkets in Europe, and academics and experts from Paraguay, India, Singapore, Ghana, and other countries.



In addition, Mr. Shimon Peres, the State President, was present as well as MK Yair Shamir, the  Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Mario Burstein, the president of the Israel Latin America Chamber of Commerce, Yitzhak Eldan, president of The Ambassadors’ Club, Mr. Rami Levy, owner of the  “Rami Levy Chain Stores” network, Mr. Yonatan Bassi, chairman of the board of the Mehadrin Group, Mr. Eyal Arad, advertising executive and strategic consultant, Mr. Abu Velan, secretary-general of the Israel Farmers’ Federation, Mr. Shaike Drori – CEO of the Israeli Dairy Board, Mr. Meir Mor, secretary-general of the Moshav Movement and others.



Haim Allouche – Joint CEO of the “Moshav” Group that initiated the exhibition said, “We welcome the ministers, presidents, government officials and academics who are expected to come to Israel for the exhibition from all over the world, and we see this as a blessing not only for the companies involved in development and for the Israeli agricultural sector, but also for local tourism. In recent years the exhibition has attracted varied delegations from all over the world, and I am pleased to see that the number of delegates is growing each year and we are gaining an important reputation on the map of international agricultural exhibitions.”
