The International Air Services Commission has granted both Virgin Australia and Qantas allocations on the Sri Lanka route.
Virgin Australia has been allocated 400 seats per week to be used to exercise stopover rights between Singapore and Sri Lanka and to codeshare on Singapore Airlines’ services to Colombo via Singapore.
Qantas has been allocated 300 seats per week, also enabling it to exercise stopover rights between Singapore and Sri Lanka, and permitting it to codeshare on Emirates’ services to Colombo via Singapore.
Amadeus and International Airline Group (IAG) have renewed their long-term content agreement giving Amadeus subscribers continued access to fares, availability and functionality for British Airways, Iberia and Iberia Express.
Hawaiian Airlines has introduced luggage self-tagging at all check-in kiosks in its Honolulu International Airport ticket lobby, enabling customers to print their boarding passes and weigh and check their own luggage.
The carrier estimates that the new system will reduce check-in times to less than five minutes.
