Gujarat was awarded the best Indian state, while Mumbai was adjudged the best city at the second edition of India’s Best Awards conducted by Travel and Leisure India South Asia held recently in Mumbai. A poll was conducted over a period of five months, that culminated in the announcement of the awards.
There were 54 awards across 32 different categories that ranged from the best country, emerging destination, cruise, business hotel, airport, luxury train, destination spa and honeymoon destination in the competition. Delhi’s T3, Indira Gandhi International Airport won the honour as the best airport. Among the spiritual destinations in the country, UP turned out to be the winner, while Rajasthan and Odisha were declared the best cultural destinations.
Singapore was chosen to be the best family destination on the global level, while Jammu and Kashmir won the title on the national level.
