YSR Congress Honorary President Y.S. Vijayamma lambasted former Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister for Tourism K. Chiranjeevi during her road show in Kadapa on Thursday.
Ms. Vijayamma, former Pulivendula MLA, accused Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy of giving a road map to the UPA Government paving way for bifurcation of the State and later stifling the anti-bifurcation movement by ensuring that NGOs and other organisations call off their 70-day-old strike.
She had a dig at Mr. Chiranjeevi alleging that he mortgaged nearly 70 lakh votes to Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Ms. Vijayamma held Mr. Chandrababu Naidu responsible for weavers’ suicides in the State by weakening APCO and scrapping janata cloth scheme. She charged Mr. Naidu with taking credit for schemes conceived and implemented by her husband and former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
Labour migrated in large numbers due to lack of work and livelihood during Mr. Naidu’s rule, but the latter made aerial jaunts to Singapore and Malaysia, she alleged.
Thanking people for electing her son and Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy with the third highest majority in the country, she said YSR family would always be indebted to them.
Ms. Vijayamma addressed meetings in Mydukur, Badvel and Siddhavatam on Thursday.
Addressing a public meeting at Rayachoti on Wednesday night, she asserted that the people faced several difficulties in the last four-and-a-half years and said that good days are ahead.
She accused Mr. Chandrababu Naidu of making empty promises.
