HONG KONG. Plaza Premium Lounge is set to open lounges in a number of major international airports – including Macau, London Heathrow and Sydney – as it aims to add 50 new locations by 2015.

The company announced that ambitious target as it celebrates its 15th anniversary, has established itself at over 100 locations in 27 international airports since 1998. Plaza Premium Lounge is a pioneer of the airport pay-in lounge concept and also manages and operates airline CIP lounges at many hubs.

Coinciding with the anniversary, the company is set to open a new flagship lounge at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) offering more interactive services, new dedicated areas to accommodate all kinds of travellers and a modern lounge menu.

It is also marking the anniversary with a new brand identity to signify a new era of development.

Over the coming months, it will open new lounges in Macau, Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s new terminal, KLIA2, and London Heathrow, its first European location. It will also make its debut in the Australian market with a lounge at Sydney Airport.

Founder CEO Song Hoi-See said: “Our company prides itself on creating premium airport services that exceed travellers’ expectations. The flagship lounge in HKIA reflects our thorough understanding of travel trends and customer behaviour. Over the last 15 years we’ve continually explored new improvement opportunities to enhance the traveller’s airport experience.

“By 2015, we will add 50 new locations in existing and new airport around the world. We will look to expand in Mainland China, Asia, Middle East, Europe and North America.”

The coming months will also see Plaza Premium Lounge grow its operations in India, with a lounge expansion in New Delhi Terminal 3 Domestic Departures, as well as a pay-in lounge in Mumbai and a major expansion to its transit hotel in Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, in Bangalore it is building two pay-in lounges at Bengaluru International Airport, to be opened by the end of this year.

So far this year, it has already added Malaysian destinations Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Penang to its list of international airports, as well as Edmonton in Canada. It has also expanded its operations in Toronto Pearson and opened organic spa Wellness Spa in Singapore Changi Aiport.

“In 1998, Plaza Premium Lounge launched with a modest mission: to provide convenient facilities for airport travellers,” said Song.

“Since then, we’ve expanded beyond conventional airport lounges to include meet and greet services, transit hotels, private resting rooms and spa services. As we celebrate our achievements to date, we look forward to continue expanding our network globally.”
