Lynette Pang assumes new post at STB

Lynette Pang, assistant chief executive, Marketing Group, Singapore Tourism Board


SINGAPORE – Lynette Pang, currently executive director for Arts Entertainment and F1 Sports at Singapore Tourism Board (STB) will take on the position of assistant chief executive Marketing Group, with effect October 1, 2013. Pang will take over from Sophia Ng, who will be stepping down from the post and assume the role of senior consultant (Marketing) on the same date.


Ng’s two-year tenure has seen her executing a major marketing shift and renewal for STB, among which are the adoption of consumer-centric approach and portfolio management of Singapore’s key source markets. Under her care, STB has also adopted new marketing strategies that led to the launch of integrated marketing campaigns in the region, including China’s New Discoveries campaign in December 2011, Australia’s Get Lost and Find the Real Singapore and India’s The Holiday You Take Home with You campaigns in March 2012, and Indonesia and Malaysia’s Only in Singapore, Right Now! campaign in November 2012 and February 2013 respectively. Ng also employed ideas and tools to reach out to the digital and social media space.

In her capacity as executive director, F1 Sports, Pang oversees the strategic development of Sports events for tourism contribution. For F1 specifically, she and her team are the main interface between the Race Promoter and the various Government agencies on all race-related matters. In addition to race operations, Pang also drives the content development and marketing of the Grand Prix Season Singapore as a unique branding campaign for the F1 Race and its peripheral lifestyle components.


Prior to this latest appointment, Pang held the post of director, Events and Entertainment from April 2007. In this role, she was involved in industry development and marketing with partners in Events Entertainment for tourism contribution.
