Farrokh Madon leaves Y&R

Farrokh Madon, chief creative officer of YR Singapore has left his role. YR has confirmed the move to Marketing.


Sanjay Bhasin, CEO Southeast Asia said, “It has been mutually agreed that Farrokh Madon will be leaving after two years with the company. During that time we have seen some great work and our fair share of recognition, we wish Farrokh all the best with the next step of his creative journey.”

Madon added, “It’s been a fruitful two years with significant pitch wins and awards, including the prestigious creative director of the year accolade at the hall of fame Awards. It’s now time to look forward to the next exciting chapter in my career.”


He came on board in May 2012 and was reporting to its Southeast Asia CEO Sanjay Bhasin and regional chief creative officer Marcus Rebeschini. Prior to the role at YR Madon (pictured) was executive creative director at McCann Erickson Singapore, and ECD at BBDO Singapore.


He first embarked on his career in enterprise in Mumbai and has also worked for agencies such as Ogilvy Mather, Saatchi Saatchi, Batey, MC Saatchi and others. His portfolio of clients include MasterCard, Gillette, Diageo, Visa, Singapore Airlines, HP, Republic of Singapore Navy, Heineken, BMW, HSBC and Discovery Channel, amongst others.


Bhasin added: “We are currently exploring a couple of options and will be sharing that news in due course.”


The agency recently lost the BMW account to Ogilvy Mather Singapore after a multi-stage pitch process.
