MARK SIMMONS has been appointed as Outrigger’s new Executive Vice President and Managing Director for Asia Pacific. An Australian national with 23 years’ experience, Simmons joins the company from SilverNeedle Hospitality. He will be based in Phuket.
ANDREW TURNER has been named as SilverNeedle Hospitality’s new Executive Vice President of Hotel Operations. He arrives at the company with 35 years of experience, including a spell with Mirvac Hotels Resorts where he spent 14 years as CEO.
DIANE IMBER has been named as the new Vice President of Sales for Open Hospitality, the web services division of Pegasus Solutions. The move marks a promotion for Ms Imber, who has served as the Global Director of Sales at Open Hospitality for six years.
IVAN CASADEVALL has become the new General Manager at the Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort. A GM with 13 years’ experience, Casadevall most recently served in the corporate team of Anantara, and spent four years as GM of the Anantara Seminyak Bali.
ANDREW YEE has promoted to the position of General Manager at the Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Orchard in Singapore. Yee has been with Pan Pacific for more than a decade and previously served as Resident Manager at the 126-room Singapore property.
DAVID DONALD has been appointed General Manager of the Parkroyal on Beach Road in Singapore. With a 20-year hospitality industry career across Australia and New Zealand, Donald now moves to Singapore following a stint as GM of the Parkroyal Parramatta.
MICHAEL JOHNSON has been announced as the new General Manager of the 196-room Parkroyal Parramatta in Western Sydney. A native of Sydney, Johnson returns to the city from his previous role as General Manager of Parkroyal Melbourne Airport.
KENNY TEO has been named as the new General Manager of the 186-room Parkroyal Saigon. Formerly General Manager of Parkroyal Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur, Teo arrives in Vietnam with 25 years of experience in London, Brunei, Singapore and Malaysia.
ANDY KHEN has been named as Group Director of e-Commerce Distribution for Swiss-Belhotel International, based in Jakarta. Khen studied as an account in Sydney and has 13 years of professional experience in the finance, banking and hotel industries.
DENISE VON WALD has been named as Tourism Australia’s new Regional General Manager for the UK Northern Europe, based in London. Ms von Wald joins Tourism Australia from Education Adelaide where she led the organisation for seven years as Chief Executive.
JAMES HARRISON has becomes Etihad Airways’ new Country Manager for Canada. Harrison moves to Toronto from London, where he served as Etihad’s Global Account Manager for American Express. He has previously worked for Hertz, British Airways and Gulf Air.
MARTIN BUCHELE has been appointed Executive Chef at the Spa Village Resort Tembok in Bali. An Austrian national, Chef Martin has lived in Canada, Malaysia and the UAE, and previously worked as Executive Sous Chef of the Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur.
