Jet-setting business travellers voted for their favourite airlines, hotels and Asian cities in the 22nd edition of the Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Travel Awards and gave top nods to Singapore Airlines, which took the title of Best Airline in the world and likewise swept the awards for best economy, first and business class service.

The latest awards cement Singapore Airlines’ reputation as the gold standard in Asian carriers, as readers of Conde Nast also voted it the best in Asia.

Frequent flyers voted Lufthansa the best airline in Europe, while United took the equivalent title in North America.

Changi Airport, which offers free tours into Singapore, free foot massages, tropical rooftop gardens, movie theatres and a Balinese-themed swimming pool, was named the best airport in the world and Asia.

The Asian hub is no stranger to accolades as it was also named the world’s best airport at the Skytrax World Airport Awards this year.

Travellers named the Grand Hyatt as the best business hotel brand in the world, which was followed by InterContinental and the Four Seasons.

And when it comes to work and play, Hong Kong was voted the business capital of the world or best business city, while Bangkok was named the best leisure city in Asia-Pacific. — AFP-Relaxnews
