Illustration Only/Pic:FileJOHOR BHARU: An elderly man from Singapore was found dead in a hotel room in Jalan Wong Ah Fook, near here, this afternoon.
South Johor Baru district police chief, ACP Sulaiman Salleh said the victim, Lee Chiang Yong, 62, was found unconscious in his hotel room by a hotel employee on duty at about 1.37pm today.
An examination carried out in the ambulance revealed that the victim had died, he said in a statement here today.
Police found no injury or any trace of criminal element on the victim who had just checked into the hotel today.
“The body was sent to Sultanah Aminah Hospital for post mortem and the Singapore Consulate here has been informed to trace his next-of-kin,” said Sulaiman.
