Several newspapers, including the Guardian report that music downloads could become more expensive, after the government closed a tax loophole in the budget. Internet downloads will now be taxed in the country of purchase, meaning a 20% VAT rate in the UK, rather than the 3% Luxembourg rate, commonly used. The new applies from January.
