SINGAPORE TOURISM BOARD APPOINTS NEW AGENCY PARTNERS

BMO on housing market: Bubble fatigue? Try buyer fatigue

ASIA – Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has appointed creative, media and digital production agencies as partners in its destination brand building efforts. The contracts follow an open tender exercise and are for two years with effect from 1 May 2013.

The agencies appointed by STB are: creative agency James Walter Thompson, digital and production agency XM Asia, and media agency Mediaedge: cia.

“The appointed agencies are the ones that have provided the most compelling proposals, shown their strength as a team and best exhibited the required combined expertise that can support the full range of STB’s brand building and marketing needs across our key markets,” said Assistant Chief Executive, Marketing Group of the STB, Sophia Ng.

STB says that since 2011 it has adopted a visitor-centric approach to marketing, developing strategies and campaigns that are specifically geared towards addressing the evolving needs of consumers from Singapore’s key tourism markets.

The appointed agencies will be expected to work together, alongside STB’s Singapore and in-markert PR agencies to develop and deliver holistic marketing solutions.

“We would like to thank the incumbent agencies for their contribution to STB’s destination brand building efforts in the last four years,” says Ng. “STB recognises the strong partnership and performance of incumbent creative agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty, who were key partners in building the YourSingapore brand, as well as the suite of destination videos which were launched last month. We now look forward to working with our appointed agencies to build and strengthen the partnership in STB’s brand building and marketing efforts.”
