Fare Deals: Ontario Craft Beer Week makes for a good getaway

You don’t have to go far for great beer these days. A line-up of beer-themed events is part and parcel of Ontario Craft Beer Week 2014, taking place June 13-21. The festival includes more than 100 beer tastings, brewery tours, pub crawls and brewer meet-and-greets right across the province, and many of them are free. In Toronto, there’s the Beach BBQ Brews at Woodbine Park June 13-15, and a Brew Like We Do event at the Mill Street Brew Pub in the Distillery District on June 16. Both offer free admission. Farther afield, destinations such as Kingston, Niagara, Muskoka, Guelph and London, will be hopping with events, from the Fort Henry Beer Festival on June 15 in Kingston, to a Father’s Day beer-and-dinner boat cruise hosted by Muskoka Brewery, also on June 15.
