SINGAPORE: The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has suspended the licence of travel agency Journey of Dream Pte Ltd.
This comes after STB received a total of 14 complaints between October 2013 and April 2014 on the company’s “unprofessional conduct and non-delivery of travel services”.
The suspension took effect from 22 April 2014, till further notice.
During this time, the company is required to fulfil existing obligations to customers, but will not be allowed to accept new travel bookings.
In its advisory announcing the suspension, STB reiterated that it adopts a serious view against errant travel agents, and would not hesitate “to take necessary actions to protect consumers’ interests and safeguard the reputation of Singapore’s tourism sector.”
The public was also advised to exercise due diligence when making travel arrangements.
