Bridie Commerford has been appointed director of marketing and communications for Accor Pacific in Australia, meanwhile Candice Teo is its new PR and communications executive.
Commerford brings a wealth of experience to the position – the past 18 years has seen her fulfil senior marketing roles across the consumer goods, quick service restaurant and alcoholic beverage industries in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
She was most recently the head of business and brand strategy at global creative agency Naked Communications in Sydney, and group marketing manager at Foster’s Australia and Treasury Wine Estates in Melbourne.
The role will see Commerford lead the team responsible for handling the marketing and communications activity for all of Accor’s brands in Australia.
These include Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Novotel, The Sebel, Quay West, Grand Mercure, Mercure, Ibis, Ibis Styles and Ibis Budget.
Commerford will also oversee Accor Australia’s quality and guest relations team.

Teo brings more than seven years experience to her new role, having previously worked as the corporate communications at Regional Express Holdings Limited (Rex).
During her time at Rex, Teo was responsible for overseeing the aviation group’s public relations and external communications portfolio.
She also worked in an agency in Singapore, managing a portfolio of FMCG, airline and travel, as well as banking accounts spanning the Asia Pacific region.
