VISA’S commercial offers programme, previously hosted on a Web portal but which has existed in the form of a mobile application for the last half year, has been downloaded around 3,500 times.
The app, targeted at holders of corporate charge cards – particularly employees of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) – offers a range of promotional offers, searchable by various categories of goods and services.
Akita Somani, Visa’s director of small-business products for the Asia-Pacific, said: “The app is unique to the extent that it caters to small businesses, and has a unique set of offers for those small businesses, in an app format.”
Visa’s programme had been running for more than seven years on a Web portal before the app was launched in an extended pilot phase late last year.
